Brandon Tree Trimming

I created this blog a long time ago with a specific idea in mind that never really got going, so here goes something different:

I host and maintain a few websites and do some writing for others. One of those for whom I write is midfloridatreeservice.com, or Mid-Florida Tree Service, Inc.

Mid-Florida Tree Service is in Thonotosassa, Florida. If you've never heard of Thonotosassa, don't worry too much. It's just east of Tampa and just north of Brandon.

It's Brandon I want to write about today.

Brandon Florida Tree Service

All over Florida, trees are an important part of our landscape. We have everything from orange and other citrus trees to vibrant Jacaranda and majestic Live Oaks, trees are everywhere.

Brandon is no different.

Brandon Florida Tree Care is regulated by Hillsborough County whose rules can be found :here:

Those rules mention that a Certified Arborist can help you with the permit process. Mid Florida Tree Service has Certified Arborists on staff.

Brandon, being slightly inland from Tampa, gets a little colder than the big city, but not usually enough to do any permanent damage to healthy trees. A few days of freezing weather is generally shrugged off and the tree goes on living.

More dangerous to Brandon trees are our spring and summer storms. Proper tree trimming and maintenance can reduce the damage trees suffer from high winds and water-saturated soil.

So, call Mid Florida Tree Service for scheduled maintenance, or call them after a storm to help remove fallen limbs or trees from your property.

Raw Water Pipe Cleaning

What's this article doing on my Pickled Crickets blog? I've written about this in other places, but wanted to spread it around a little. Check out https://orlandoserviceproviders.weebly.com/industrial-pipe-cleaning as well.

Raw water includes ground water, rainwater, water from lakes and rivers, water from infiltration wells. Raw water is found in the environment and has not been treated. It has not had any of its particles, minerals, ions, parasites, or bacteria removed.

Some industrial companies use a raw water source, making some type of treatment system necessary. A raw water treatment system helps ensure an effective process and quality product as well helping avoid expensive maintenance fees and costly downtime.

As with all mechanical systems there comes a time when it will need to be serviced. Treating a raw water system is no exception and can be made complicated because of the several different technologies used in their design. When it comes time for preventative or needed maintenance, there are factors about the raw water cleaning process that need to be considered such as ....

  • Knowing where to place and what type of access point is necessary and most convenient to begin or end.
  • How to contain the removed solids and to the disposal of water used during the cleaning process. One the cleaning process has begun in many operations, high turbidity levels, as well as suspended solids become part of the flow typically make the water unusable until cleaning is completed and the condition is resolved by varying customized applications.

These factors along with understanding the details like knowing which direction the pipe systems should be cleaned, how to minimize the disruption of flow in other parts of the system, the volume of mineral matter, sand, construction oriented debris, and etc, that can be brought out during the cleaning procedure makes hiring a professional like the ones at Professional Piping Services is a wise choice. Contact them today. Their skilled and knowledgeable staff are available to discuss treatment plans with you.

Just messing around.

I'm trying out a little something here. Let's see if it works out.

The youtube videos below are being linked through adf.ly, which supposedly will pay me when my visitors follow my links. I hope it's not too annoying!

Time will tell.

A blogger did not like them from an advertising POV

Another blogger Said he made some money using the service.

Once Upon a Criminal Doctor

I mentioned in another post that I would write a little bit about the TV shows I watch.

I'm still a HUGE fan of Netflix! They have the entire series of Criminal Minds. We've watched about 2 1/2 seasons in just a few weeks. The characters are awesome. I was always a bit of a geek, so Spencer and Penelope are my favorites. They out-geek me terribly though.

I could almost believe that the actors, Matthew Gray Gubler and Kirsten Vagsness, are as geeky brilliant as their characters.

I've heard people talk about Dr. Who for ages, but never gave it a chance. We've recently been watching one of the modern version of it, (Starting with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper). We're well into the second season and very much enjoying it. I'll have to consider a little time travel of my own to catch up on what happened in the first 15 or so seasons.

ABC's "Once Upon a Time" is a family favorite. The obvious Disney plug now and then is just a bit of humor. Again, Netflix came in very handy so we could watch the last three episodes of season 3 to prepare for watching the 4th season premier where snow queen Elsa appears in Storybrook due to an accident that can be blamed on each of Rumple, Hook and Emma. It promises to be another entertaining season.

Members only Jacket for Sale

Not my normal thing on this blog, but I'm trying to get a better price for this jacket. It's about to sell for far too little!

Check out this jacket on ebay.

It's "Member's Only" brand. It's in excellent shape with one very small rip where the lining meets the leather in one spot.

If I were thin enough to wear it, I'd have kept it.

UPDATE:
It sold, and I think my father-in-law will be happy with the price. :- )

Whatever

I've been too busy to scour the internet looking for strange or interesting things to write on this blog, but I don't want it to die off so I'm just going to run off at the proverbial mouth for a moment.

I guess that's running off at the fingertips, but that just doesn't sound as good as "running off at the mouth".

I thought about making a blog about the TV shows that my family and I watch, but maybe this would be a good place to put them. I could continue putting all my other wierd stuff here too. I mentioned it on Tec's Games because we've been watching a lot of Netflix on Wii.

The newest we're watching is "In Plain Sight" about the witness protection program (witsec). The episodal plots are obvious and like other cop shows, there's always a strong cop that has relationship issues and a relative that's got their hands in something illegal.

It still manages to be entertaining.

No more PickledCrickets.com

Well, two years ago I posted that I wasn't sure if I was going to renew my domain name. I decided not to. I still own a few others, but I just wasn't doing anything with it at the time so it wasn't worth the few dollars it would have cost me to keep it up. I'm blogging a little more now, at least I have for the last day or two, so if I keep it up for a while I might decide to re-register it if no-one takes it. Only time will tell.

How long will it last?

My domain name expires in October and I'm not sure if I should renew it. I have some other domains that I'm sure I will keep, but I don't know if this one is worth the few bucks I pay for it...

Guess I'll decide in October.

Tallan Noble Latz

Below you will find the most amazing young guitar player.

When this guy was taken off America's Got Talent without even a second audition, I stopped watching. I may watch again next year, but I literally got up off my couch and went in the other room because I didn't want to watch the show any more.

Edited 07/03/2010 because the YouTube Video was outdated.

UGLY Blog

My blog page is very ugly! I stripped down the template, planning on re-building it and never got back to it. Maybe I'll go back to one of the presets offered by blogger.

Three dead

WOW! I am not a superstitious person, so I don't go looking for proof that "These things happen in threes" when I hear of a tragedy.

Oddly enough though, Ed McMahon, Farah Fawcet and Michael Jackson have passed within a couple of days of each other.

May they all rest in peace.
